On Friday, January 18th the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation distributed $1.2 million in grants to 16 non-profit organizations in the Central Florida area. We are very grateful for our partnership with the Orlando Science Center and the opportunity to be part of these grant awards. This grant will help support our “Ignite Discovery: STEAM” initiative which increases the quality and quantity of STEAM educators in Osceola County.
The Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County was selected to be one of the first Hunter’s Creek Bags for Change Partners with Lucky’s Market. This is fund raising event that will go to support the School Readiness Program here in Osceola County. From October 10, 2018 until February 3, 2019 Lucky’s Market will give out wooden dime for every reusable bag a customer brings into the store. The customer can then drop their coin in the bin of the non-profit organization they wish to support. Each non-profit will receive double the donation at the end of the quarter.
Join us for a night of family fun on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 6pm-9pm in downtown Kissimmee. The ELC of Osceola County will be hosting the birth to five activities in the area known as “Adventures in Booville.” So bring the whole family out for a fantastic evening.

With HB 1091 now approved, providers wishing to be a School Readiness provider in the year 2019-2020, will need to have a program assessment completed during the 2018-19 program year. This will determine the provider’s eligibility to contract and minimum quality threshold as required by HB1091.
