Inclusion services

The Coalition has designed a program to provide technical assistance to child care providers who serve children with behavior, social, or developmental concerns or children with disabilities. Help is available through the Coalition Sending Out Support (SOS) program. SOS provides a variety of services that are designed to increase children’s success in their environment that may include: onsite and telephone technical assistance, training on inclusion practices, recommendations for additional community and/or health services, as determined. If you work with a child that you have concerns about, please complete the SOS Inclusion Packet and submit it directory to the Coalition Inclusion Specialist.

ASQ-3

In accordance with rule 6M-4.720, school readiness providers are required to complete a child screening for each school readiness child enrolled, aged six weeks to kindergarten eligibility, using the Ages & Stages Questionnaire Third Edition (ASQ-3). This tool screens development in 5 areas: communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving and personal-social skills. Each new school readiness child care provider will receive unique access to the ASQ Enterprise Online Data System for use in completing child developmental screenings and storing child screening data. The Coalition’s Early Intervention Team is available to assist and answer questions from child care providers regarding ASQ-3.
