The Voluntary Pre-kindergarten Program (VPK) in Florida is available at no cost to all 4-year-old children, regardless of family income, except those already enrolled in the Gardiner Scholarship Program. Parents of children born from Feb. 2 through Sept. 1 can opt to enroll their child in VPK during the school year their child turns 4 or the following year.
