Developmental Screening
All children in the School Readiness program must have a developmental screening every year. This is true for those between 6 weeks and 5 years old. This screening helps track their growth and learning progress. It also helps us know when there is a need for more support.
We use the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition (ASQ®-3) and the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ®:SE-2). These screening tools are easy to use.
Parents, providers, or coalitions can complete them. They look at development in five areas. These are: communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem-solving, and personal-social skills.
Every child care provider in the School Readiness program gets their own Provider Portal.
If you have questions or need help with the questionnaire, call us at 863-240-0261. We will be happy to help.
Sending out Support (SOS)
We have a program called Sending Out Support (SOS). This program helps teachers who work with children who have struggles in the classroom. Our SOS program helps teachers include all children. It also puts them in touch with services in the community that help children.
